Senior ABAP/4 developer in SAP PM and PS

Job Description

ABAP/4 developer to work within the SAP logistics modules developing and modifying code to manage the processes of shutdowns and turnarounds, daily scheduling, and capital projects. Knowledge of SAP PM and PS, and any other logistics modules i.e., MM, PP a plus. Knowledge of scheduling tools (Primavera, Microsoft Project) helpful.

Need to be able to communicate with clients and define specific requirements.

Job Responsibilities:

Required

- At least five years ABAP Design, Development, Reporting & Implementation experience in multiple projects – Versed in Business process analysis and design – Programmer/Analyst background a definite + – Exposure in shutdown/turnaround environment – Excellent communication, interpersonal and presentation skills
IT background in applications design & development, either mainframe or client-server

Desired:

- Proficiency in minimum of three (3) CORE R/3 Logistics modules – Knowledge of Project System Module – Knowledge of Primavera scheduling tool – SAP Certified ABAP Developer

Duties:
The ABAP Programmer will design, develop and debug ABAP programs and Smartforms for SAP and Interfaces. Position combines programming/performance tuning skills along with managing tasks on cross functional teams, assisting in the writing of development specifications and test plans as well as responsible for helping resolve external customer requirements. The ability to analyze and debug ABAP programs with respect to performance a must.

Required Qualifications:
Must be eligible to obtain a DoD SECRET Security Clearance. Due to the nature of the project US Citizenship is required.

Requires bachelor’s degree (in Computer Science or related field) or equivalent, and sixteen plus years of related (progressively responsible network systems engineering) experience. Master’s degree in Computer Science preferred. Senior SAP ABAP Programmer with more than 5 years experience required. Must have in depth experience with ABAP code writing, debugging, reporting, dialog programming, interface development/testing as well as data migration tools, ALE /EDI, Smartforms, and IDoc extensions.

Must have expertise in SAP performance analysis tools. Additionally, must have in depth knowledge of SAP R/3 HR module and knowledge of how this module relates to other SAP modules such as: Finance, Material Management, Sales Distribution, Plant Maintenance, etc.

TRAVELERS ACCEPTABLE

Desired Qualifications:
Experience with ABAP Query a plus.
SAP R/3 ABAP Certification desired.
