Recruitment or E-recruitment
The SAP HR Recruitment sub module is used to manage the entire recruitment process and supports the following functionality:
Once a vacant position exists or is planned to exist, then the recruitment process can be started for that position.
What is SAP E-Recruitment?
The SAP E-Recruiting application is a fully Web-enabled, end-to-end recruiting solution, delivering the recruiting management functions an organisation needs to find appropriate talent. SAP E-Recruiting accelerates and streamlines the recruiting process with a strategy that is much more comprehensive than traditional methods of applicant management. The solution lets applicants and candidates register in a talent warehouse.
It provides functions that help managers find the staff they need quickly and maintain long-term relationships with individuals registered in the warehouse. Full-fledged applicant tracking and reporting functions help organise the processing of job applications and monitor the effectiveness of the recruiting organisation. A collaboration platform links SAP E-Recruiting to external systems such as job boards, recruiting service providers, and the company’s internal systems. All these capabilities help align recruiting with corporate strategy, find top candidates, cut recruiting and sourcing costs, and improve employee retention.
Functionality of E-Recruitment:

Requisition ?
In order to fill vacancy, manager will request the recruiter to find potential candidates for open position. The requisition is an internal document determining the positions for which candidates are to be sought, the requirements which candidates must fulfill, and how the candidate search will be performed.

A vacancy is officially announced using a posting. The posting contains the information about the position that internal and/or external applicants need.

A publication defines a posting channel and all attributes that are assigned to this posting channel.

Candidate ?
Assignment between a Requisition and a Candidate.
Candidacy ?
Person who has registered in the Talent Warehouse and stored his or her data there. A candidate is usually interested in accepting a work relationship.

e-Recruiting supports object based applications. The standard objects used are candidacy, posting, requisition and application.
