SAP CO is the controlling module of SAP software.
The SAP Controlling module represents the cost/profit accounting system within SAP.
SAP CO is broken down into the following submodules:
Cost center accounting:
The Cost center accounting sub-module of CO provides functionality to control and analyze costs internally within a company.
SAP CCA functionality includes planning, commitment management and cost allocation.
Internal Orders:
The Internal Orders sub-module of CO is used to manage internal costs for project type expenses within a company. SAP IO functionality includes planning, collecting and settling the costs of internal projects and tasks.
Profit Center Accounting:
The Profit Center Accounting sub-module of CO provides functionality to control and analyze revenues and costs internally within a company. The SAP PCA functionality includes planning, allocations, and reporting.
Profitability Analysis:
The Profitability Analysis sub-module of CO supports decision making by evaluating market segments. SAP PA functionality inlcudes sales/profit planning and analysis of actual postings.
